The lost colony that Barish-Estranza tries to reclaim after it had been effectively abandoned by two previous companies. Originally seeded on a planet with alien remnants, this colony suffered from remnant contamination.

It was originally begun before the Corporation Rim existed.[1] This was also before wormhole-stabilization technology existed, and the colonization efforts were interrupted, and its location lost. At some point this colony's residents were affected by alien remnant poisoning, and began compulsively building structures like the main complex Murderbot finds on arrival.

Thirty seven years before Network Effect[2], Adamantine Explorations (AE) restarted colonization efforts. There were ambitious plans to build a long term colony, and they made a solid attempt to reach this goal, building infrastructure like the space docks. Unfortunately, AE only got as far as a couple of supply runs and partway through terraforming before the company went down in a hostile takeover, with its employees destroying as much of their wormhole navigation data as they can. The colony's location was (seemingly) lost again.

Shortly before Network Effect, Barish-Estranza buys location data salvaged from the takeover, and sets out to start the colonization/reclamation process once more.

Locations[]

  • Space Docks
  • Main Complex with Ribs
  • Artificial Canal
  • Second Colonization Site, after the first one was discovered to be contaminated
